Northern food is the food I grew up with and it features comforting savory flavors sometimes with a bit of spice. This category includes Beijing, Northeast (Dongbei), and Shandong cuisine. Sweet and Sour Pork, My Mom’s Dumplings, Zha Jiang Mian, and Corn Soup are classic northern dishes.
